Carefree Psychologist and Author to Speak in Scottsdale for the National Association of Women Writers–Scottsdale Chapter on Overcoming Writer’s Block

SCOTTSDALE, June 24, 2006. Write: 10 Days to Overcome Writer’s Block, by local Carefree psychologist Karen Peterson, PhD, has been endorsed by Kurt Vonnegut “As well researched and helpful a book on writing as I’ve ever read.”) and poet Gerald Costanzo, editor of the Carnegie Mellon Press. Hear Peterson speak Wed. evening, June 28th at 6:00 p.m. at the National Association of Women Writers–Scottsdale Chapter’s monthly meeting at Café Carumba, 7303 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale.

Karen E. Peterson, Ph.D., www.kpwrite.com is a novelist, former university writing instructor with an M.A. in English, and a psychologist. She is the recipient of several university literary awards for poetry and scholarly writing in the field of literature, and has conducted research on writer’s block, procrastination, and Kurt Vonnegut’s use of gallows humor.

Her previous book, The Tomorrow Trap: Unlocking the Secrets of the Procrastination-Protection Syndrome was endorsed by Gerald Costanzo, best-selling novelists Les Standiford and Paul Levine, and best-selling nonfiction authors such as Bernie Siegel and Joan Borysenko.
